Autoimmune. No cure: Lichen planus is an autoimmune disease. We don't know what causes it. It generally is manageable with topical steroids. Sometimes it is difficult to control. It isn't cureable but manageable.

Auto immune: Lichen planus is an autoimmune syndrome. You can only manage it, there is no cure at the present time.
