A member asked:

I was wondering what are some ways you could lose your vision permanently?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many: Vision can be lost from inherited diseases like retinitis pigmentosa, from neglected conditions like glaucoma, diabetes and cataracts, from strokes in the eye or in the brain, from infection inside the eye, and of course trauma. There are many less common conditions which cause permanent loss as well.
