A 37-year-old member asked:

Is it possible for computer games to make your vision permanently blurry?

Dr. Richard Bensinger
Ophthalmology 52 years experience
No: The eyes work full time when open at whatever activity you ask of them. Computer games are a concentrated activity but so are most activities such as reading, driving, watching tv or a ball game. Computer games may do things to your mind but not to your vision.
Dr. Benjamin Chun
Ophthalmology 28 years experience
No: If you do too much, it may dry your eyes, or cause strain, but nothing permanent.
