I'm 28 weeks pregnant and i always find myself waking up on my back can this cause complications?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sleeping position: When you're sleeping on your back, the weight of your uterus lies on the spine, back muscles, intestines, and major blood vessels. This can lead to muscle aches and pains, hemorrhoids, and impaired circulation, which is uncomfortable for you and can reduce circulation to your baby. It is best to train yourself to sleep on your left side and you can use a large pillow to help yourself.
