Could be pregnant: When an HCG level is 56, it is positive for pregnancy, but an ultrasound will likely not show anything until the level is 2500. Hcg levels double every 2-3 days, so it would take several weeks until the ultrasound would show pregnancy. Sounds like another HCG level would be prudent. You could still be pregnant.
