A member asked:

Is it possible to have area where vaginal discharge comes from, cauterised and what happens in the procedure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: I'm not sure why you would want to cauterize an area in the vagina? It's normal for women to have discharge every day of their cycle. The vagina is like a self-cleaning oven and the mucous it produces helps to clean keep the vagina clean. Cautery would be used for a lesion or something precancerous.
