What are the tests that show you had a heart attack?

Blood work and EKG: The oldest method, still used and important, is the evolutionary change that occurs on ekg over 2 to 3 days. Note: the ekg in some cases is initially normal in the early stages of a heart attack. CPK and its isoenzymes, and various forms of troponin ("cardiac enzymes") levels rise as they leak out of damaged heart cells and can be detected several hours after onset also.
