Braxton Hicks: Contractions and increased pelvic pain due to the baby's head dropping lower into the pelvis can mean that labor might be on it's way. Your doc will do a physical exam at your next visit to see if any of those "warm up" contractions have done any work towards dilating your cervix and getting closer to delivery! these practice contractions can come much earlier the more pregnancies you have!
