So many choices: Can be so many things. Can't tell without examination. If it doesn't resolve in 2-5 days by itself, if it worsens, if it goes away and comes back, if it spreads, if it's uncomfortable, call your dentist for exam, diagnosis, and rx.

Yes: See a dentist, as it might be an infection which would require treatment. It might be other things as well. Your dentist can evaluate what it is and whether or not it requires treatment. It's always better to be safe than sorry.
