A member asked:

Seeing flashing lights/lines/spots, things moving when they're really not, etc. when trying to fall asleep. silent migraine? my meds? sleep disorder?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe both: "weird" neurological symptoms can be related to migraine, which is a benign cause; however, sleep issues can provoke migraines. Also hypnagognic hallucinations (google it) are normal whenever falling asleep. Hypnagognic hallucinations are reported by users of Amitriptyline in the medical literature.
