A member asked:

Husband 35 yr got a stress test done due to family history of heart disease, result is negative no st depression noted in any leads, exercise time 10 mins, max heart rate 164 ,worst case st level -1.4 in v1 and worst case st slope -21 v1.is that fine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

St depression: Not all st depressions during very rapid heart rates are abnormal. Sagging downward and straightened depressed st segments are abnormal but st segments trending upwards and getting to the baseline quickly are not signs of ischemia. It would help to actually see the strip, but your cardiologist can advise you best.
