Go to ER!: I do not know how strong the xanax (alprazolam) were, how old your husband is, whether he wanted to kill himself, or what other medical conditions he may have -- but combining alcohol with xanax (alprazolam) is bad news. It sounds like he has quite a tolerance for alcohol also. Please get him to the er. If you need help with this, call 911. He needs emergency evaluation -- including psychiatric as well.
