What can I do to relieve a migraine that is going on 3 days?

Dr. Bennett Machanic
51 years experience in Neurology
Contact your doctor: I am reluctant to recommend pain medication, especially narcotics, but some approaches that might help include use of Cambia powder, migranol (forget triptans, as too late), otc dolovent, and if all else fails, might try Fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) (a barbiturate). Would avoid emergency room as commotion, bright lights, noise, could make things worse. If you can sleep a few hours this will help immensely.
