See below: Croup will probably go away within a week without any problems. If he has a severe case of croup, you will know by labored breathing at rest. Rx: take your him into a steamy bathroom for 15 -20 min or out into the cold night air. Holding him upright will help him breathe more easily. Salt water drops/spray for nostrils every 4-6 hrs can help.
