Anxiety: If you are hearing voices you need to see a trained psychiatrist. If its just your mom's voice it may be anxiety. Either way you should seek help.

Hypnagogic : These are probably some version of hypnagogic phenomena . This usually takes place between wakefulness and sleeping. I myself have had occurrences like this while i was fully awake without any other symptoms.
