Dry eyes: I you have a very dry eye then its common that your eyes will feel burning, stinging, watery, red and sandy. Please use artificial tears, heat compressors and wash your lashes with baby shampoo. Omega 3 essential fatty acid also helps if you take it orally. Sometime allergy can cause dry eye and sting.

Dry eye syndrome: Dry eye syndrome (des) has many symptoms, stinging is one of the most common. Des can be managed with artificial tears. They are most useful when placed in the eyes before activities that bring on the symptoms (e.g. Stinging). Activities that require much visual concentration result in less blinking, and the eyes become dry more easily. The term 'pink eye' is usually used for a viral infection.
