Can you tell me if a cyst and tumor means the same?

No: A cyst is usually a fluid filled space, though tumors can have cysts in them. Cysts can be due to blockage of ducts in an organ, parasite infestations, organ maldevelopment and residual effect of abscess or tissue necrosis.
