A member asked:

Can you tell me if a nurse is caring for a patient who is 1 day post-op. which data regarding patient's urine should the nurse take?

Two issues: The nurse is interested in urine flow and volume to insure that the kidneys are working. If there is a chance of infection, then the nurse would be interested in whether the urine is infected by seeing if it is cloudy or discolored.
