Craze lines: Most of the time I do not treat craze lines as they are superficial and do not pose a problem. Location of lines and occlusion (bite) helps determine need for treatment. For aesthetic reasons or if a fracture is possible, i might use composite bonding, a porcelain laminate or a ceramic crown to restore the tooth.

Craze lines: There aren't any simple solutions for this situation. Avoid extreme changes in temperature ( i.e. Coffee and pie ala mode) to minimize this problem. Avoiding biting hard foods- candy apples, frozen ice cream bars etc. Can also reduce these superficial cracks. Avoid foods that can stain teeth like coffee and teas.

Very hot food: Followed by very cold drink can cause crazing as well as the interference on dentition when there is malocclusion. Avoid the cause and fix the source. The treatment will be based on the severity of the condition. Veneers and crown if it is extensive or merely a night guard if the crazing is minimal.

Find the cause...: It could be related to unnoticed bite discrepancies, amongst other causes... Bite balancing (equilibration) is often a helpful treatment of causes when possible... Veneers or crowns can restore the teeth, if the damage is severe enough...
