A member asked:

Has there been cases of successful treatment/surgery after discogram?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes with the right : Patient having right operation by the right surgeon. Meaning that all forms of nonop care have failed with back pain that is mechanical in nature for at least 6 months which is worse with activity ; better with rest. Patient is not obese, does not smoke ; in good medical condition with ideal surgery limited to one or two levels with discogram not done by surgeon who is spine fellowship trained.
