See below: These injections or not given for a lumbar strain. This usually responds with physical therapy. You may have some other disk pathology which this procedure has been recommended to you . These injections are usually given 1 to 2 weeks apart. There are usually administered by a orthopedic surgeon pain management anesthesiologist and administered with local anesthesia under flouro scopic guidance.
