common symptoms of clogged brain arteries?

Stroke: Obstructed blood vessels in brain can result in transient visual loss, numbness, weakness, dizziness, etc, but if the vessel is obstructed, a permanent problem can occur, and this is a stroke. If this is your problem symptom complex, see a neurologist asap.

A 21-year-old female asked:
What are the symptoms of narrowing arteries in brain?

Dr. Bac Nguyen answered
Family Medicine 23 years experience
Not much if mild: Mild narrowing is common and increasing with age, more severe in folks with atherosclerosis (diabetes, high blood pressure, hi cholesterol, smoking, family history= risks). As it becomes more narrow, dizziness/fainting may occur. If a narrowing area rupture, throwing off a piece (clots) it can result in stroke etc...
So best is to reduce risk factors.
Check with your doc.
Stay healthy...
Good luck.
