Sounds like your are: Shy and passive, but, as you noted above, you already knew that. If you have always been that way as far back as you can remember, then i would recommend a psychoanalytic psychotherapy with cognitive behavioral components. If, on the other hand, you learned to become that way because no one would let you express your opinion while you were growing up, then i think h psychoanalytic psychotherapy is in order initially and then once you have an understanding of the dynamics, you can move on cognitive behavioraltherapy. Bypassing the underlying dynamic understanding would, in my opinion, be a disservice, because if you do not have an understanding of those dynamics this could leave you open to feeling traumatized by highly opinionatedpeople in the future.Best wishes.
