Usually not.: Actually both spider veins and blue vein formation is associated with an increase with taking bcp's. Cessation of them should not cause an increase in vein formation because the hormonal increase changes. Hereditary is by far the most common cause of both spider and varicose veins. If your veins are worsening, you should see a vein specialist for a full vein evaluation including a sonogram.

Yes: Changes in hormones can cause enlargement of the breast and dilation of the veins, making the veins more visible. Totally within the spectrum of normal. If they bother you, a vein specialist or phlebologist can perform sclerotherapy.
