A member asked:

Ive heard that exotic animals can turn on their owners. what do i do if my ferret bites me?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible harm,: A ferret well maintained will be very unlikely to have any diseases that are risky. If the bite is deep, or tearing you might need treatment for the damage. Exotic animals are so named because they lack the genes and conditioning to live comfortably with humans and some feel they should not be in the pet department.
