You an take it up: To 15 mg first (1+ 1/2 of the 10mg tabs) for a week before taking it up to 20 mg. This will lessen your chance of getting any further symptoms, but generally, once you are fine at 10 mg there are no further troubles taking it up to 20 mg a day. Best wishes.

Usually no SE w incr: While side effects are frequently dose dependent and might increase with an increase in dose, in my experience, the side effects like nausea that have subsided on 10 mg of Lexapro (escitalopram) are not too likely to recur with an increase to 20 mg. Can go up to 20 mg from 10 mg after 2 weeks, but full antidepressant effects from the 10 mg daily dose may require 4 to 6 weeks.
