Could nasal/phlegm drainage or too much spicy food or candy cause me to have flu symptoms like diarrhea/fatigue/upset stomach/headache/etc.?

No: The flu is caused by the influenza virus. You catch it from others via infected oral or nasal secretions. If you are immunosuppressed, stressed, or overtired, these things may predispose you to a viral infection. Food and the other things that you mentioned should not predispose you to the flu virus. You can have symptoms that seem like the flu and unrelated due to things you eat.
