Asymptomatic Infxn: Yeast or bacteria can sometimes colonize the vagina and alter the microbiome, leading to abnormal discharge that may/may not be problematic. A yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis may not need to be treated if you don't have symptoms, but i would consider seeing your gyn for a check up prior to trying any home or over-the-counter remedies.

It depends: This could be a yeast infection (cottage cheese, itchy discharge), could be bacterial vaginosis (a common infection which is milky, itchy and smells like fish) or ovulation (thick clear discharge). Do a urine pregnancy test to see if you're pregnant or not. If not, and the discharge bothers you, see your doctor.
