Okay: The mucous plug isn't a real 'thing' per se. If your cervix is long, as measured by a cervical length ultrasound, and you're not having contractions, then the mucous plug doesn't matter an iota. If you lost weight and have gained back 10#, then you're fine. Some women only gain 15# in their entire pregnancy due to nausea, etc. Babies turn out fine. Do your best, that's all you can do.
