My arms chest & back itching bad?

Many causes: Severe itching of the skin without a rash may be caused by dry skin but can be due to disorders of the liver, kidneys, thyroid, or some blood disorders. For dry skin, rub in some alpha-keri lotion after a bath while the skin is still wet. Benadrly helps control itching but may cause drowsiness. Claritin (loratadine) is less effective but doesn't cause drowsiness.

Any rash or dryness: Sometimes sensitivity to soap lotion or food can cause itching. Also very dry skin or prolonged hot water showering.
