RCT return?: I cannot really tell without seeing it as there are several possibilities. I would have it evaluated by an endodontist to determine proper course of treatment. Do you grind your teeth a lot? Was there recent trauma to the area? Is your homecare good and there are no periodontal issues with the tooth? These will all need to be evaluated.

Endo consult: You should consult an endodontist. Mos t common complication for lower 6 is an unnoticed forth canal on the x-ray. There is a wide range of possibilities: periodontal (gum) disease, cracked tooth syndrome, occlusal (bite) trauma. Options are: retreat if possible or extraction and dental implant placement. Rec. : see your dentist and request endodontist referral if need it.
