Bites?: The skin lesions can be insect bites but also can be hives. Her pediatrician needs to see them. Scabies is making a come back, especially if she attends day care of school. She will need to be checked for that.

Decrease scratching: While you are trying to find the source of your child's rash, you can still treat the symptoms. Topical Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or 1% Hydrocortisone cream will have decrease the itching so that the areas do not become infected. For those bites that she has scratched too much you can use triple antibiotic cream. See your provider if the symptoms continue.

See a dermatologist: Do not use any antibiotic. They are highly sensitizing. They are also useless. Try Hydrocortisone cream while waiting to see the dr.
