How come we have these lines in the palms of our hands, fingers, & feet?

In case you : Commit a crime we can identify you based on your finger print. The lines also allow for movement. Hands bend and you need a certain amount of skin to do this. Feet bend as well. If the lines werent there and the skin was taut there would be no movement. The lines represent the excess skin when extended. When contracted the lines are harder to see.
