A member asked:

Is it true that radiation exposure to the eyes can be reduced with the use of leaded protective eyewear?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Radiation protection: Can be managed by time, distance and shielding. The effectiveness of a shield is related to its ability of scattering and absorption. Lead, or barium sulfate can work well, thus leaded glass can protect from direct exposure.
