Could you explain what is "impaired color vision"?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Poor color recogniti: Impaired color vision comes from several inherited forms (90% in males) with poor distinction between ordinarily easily recognized color differences. It can also occur with advanced retinal disease and a few rare CNS diseases. In all cases, even with good acuity, colors will be confused.
