General care : For the eye. Most comprehensive ophthalmologist do cataract and lasik surgery. Some even do specialized treatment for retina disease or glaucoma. Most often the comprehensive ophthalmologist will refer to a specialist, i.e. In retina or neurology if beyond the scope of his/her capabilities.
