A member asked:

I'm curious as to why would a woman get a blood/prolactin test?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Prolactin: An elevated prolactin could cause the menstrual periods to stop. It could also cause galactorrhea, or persistant milk secretion from the breasts. A pituitary tumor can make prolactin.
