Sudden Heart Death: Sudden cardiac arrest or death in young athelets is very rare (about 100 cases per year in usa). Mostly due to ventricular fibrillation, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, congenital heart disease, cardiac arryhtmias, long qt syndrome and commotio cordis.
