A member asked:

What location in the body is a pacemaker placed - on the heart?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

2 parts: A pacemaker consists of two parts: wires or "leads" and a pulse generator (computer and battery). The leads are threaded into the heart's chambers through veins. They're inside the heart. The pulse generator is embedded under skin south of the shoulder - either left or right side of the upper chest.
