Bowel obstruction: Due to telescoping of bowel , caused by inflammation or polyp , as seen in children , distal small bowel enters into cecum , if untreated will results in gangrene

Obstructs: Usually small bowel with internal telescoping due to some pathology, meckel's diverticulum, polyp, etc. Hyper motility may play a role. The obstruction can cause swelling, ischemia, perforation and peritonitis.
