Various types of surgery, radiation, hormonal and biological treatments are available, however, none of these is a do-it-yourself issue. Here are some ...: Much favorable progress in slowing down prostate cancer progression after definitive Rx (surgery, radiation - RT, cryo) has been made over the past 10 yrs, including adjuvant use of hormone with RT, immunotherapy (sipuleucel-T - Provenge), chemotherapy (abiraterone - Zytiga), etc. But, all come with a price - monetary, mental, and physical burdens. More? Ask the attending medical concologist...
