A member asked:

People have told me to do a chemical peel. they sound really painful, do they work and how painful are they?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: First, i would be sure what a chemical peel would do for you, i.e. Is it for the treatment of something or is it for cosmetic purposes. If done right a peel shouldn't be terribly uncomfortable. However, there will be some soreness for a time after the procedure. I might compare it to a bad sunburn. That might not be a fair comparison but it is the best i can think of.
