Could you explain what is gastro esophagus reflux disorder?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sphincture failure: The failure of the sphincture at the bottom of the esophagus to prevent the return of food, acid, and liquid in the stomach from come back into the esophagus is the cause. The lining of the esophagus has symptoms (burning and pain) when exposed to the lower ph of the stomach acid. Additionally a hiatel hernis oftyen allows for acid reflux to occur.
