Protrusion disk: C5 C6 disk protrusion can cause upper extremity pain and or numbness and tingling. A 6 week trial of rest , antiinflamatory medication, followed by physical therapy usually helps, and if not and the pain is not tolerable than depending on neurosurgical or orthopedic evaluation you may need surgical intervention.
