A member asked:

Can you tell me the symptoms of having amniotic fluids get into your bloodstream why delivering cesarean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Amniotic fluid: Amniotic fluid embolism is what I assume you are talking about. If a large bolus of fluid gets into your blood stream it can cause very sudden shock. Luckily this is very uncommon. In fact in 20 years I haven't had one of these. If its recognized and treated appropriately women do recover well from this.
