See below: Put in simplest terms: osteoarthritis is the "normal arthritis" we get from wear and tear where cartilage wears out. Cartilage allows joint to move smoothly without bones grinding against each other. Rheumatoid arthritis is a inflammatory arthritis believed to be the result of an autoimmune disorder. Very painful and destructive, affecting multiple joints. Gout is result of uric acid in a joint.
