What do newborns learn to do with their hand controlfrom birth to twelve months?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many things: They learn to open their hands and grasp things. They then love looking at them (4 months) and grasping things on purpose. Then transferring objects hand to hand (6 months), wave by by (9-12 months) , clap (bang things midline) 9-12 months, put things in their mouths, point and grunt...Put things in boxes or bottles.
