Ulcers: Ulcers can be very painful and can cause a ring of inflammation around them much larger than the ulcer itself and as such can make a nearby tooth feel as if it is having a toothache. Treatment should be with basically pain management and anti-inflammatories, orabse, kenalog in orabse, advil, tylenol (acetaminophen) etc.
