Strengthen: Multidirectional instability ( mdi) is best treated initially by strengthening the rotator cuff muscles, scapular stabilizers and core. Not sure if u had a subluxation of your shoulder or how 'loose' or unstable your shoulder(s) are but try strengthening w/ a certified o.T. First.Your shoulder is @ risk for > injury w/ forced hyperabd./ ex.Rot. Injuries. Good luck!

Listen to the Ortho: Since he has seen you. Keep exercising to keep muscles as strong as possible. Lifting should be okay, and gradually build up the weights you lift. Doing it this way will not make matters worse for you. Good luck.

Maintenance strength: A general strengthening program for the entire shoulder joint should benefit you.
