Diabetes Diet: People with diabetes should eat a very balanced low carbohydrate diet that is about 1800 to 2000 calories. That diet should not have more than 25% of it's calories be carbohydrates or sugars. Peanuts, having fat, protein and sugar calories can safely be used as part of the nutrition as long as they are not the main source of your food.
